Regional Sales Director, Zhytomyr region

About the role

Sigil™ turns a photo of a CMR into a Polish RMPD declaration and files it with PUESC under the carrier's own company credentials. The product has been live since September 2026. We are building a sales team across Ukraine and looking for a regional director to own sales in the Zhytomyr region.

A region on the Kyiv to Warsaw route, closer to the Volyn crossings than the centre is. The register is small, 342 carriers with an international licence, and in half a year you can speak to every one of them. Житомир accounts for 37% of that register, so most meetings happen in one city. The median fleet is 7 trucks, counted where the register reports one, and 39 companies here run just one or two. The conversation is with an owner who drives himself. There are 128 sole traders and the rest are incorporated, so some conversations move fast and some go through accounting. There are 60 companies with ADR clearance, and they are the first to call: their loads fall under SENT most often. 193 companies predate 2014, so most of them already have their paperwork habits and an opinion about every new system.

The market sits in one city: Житомир covers most of the companies in the regional register. Carriers here know each other, so the first five happy clients bring the next ones without any advertising. Some firms answer at once, others ask for numbers and come back a week later; both tracks have to run in parallel.

Responsibilities

• Owning sales in the region: the plan, the clients, the result
• Building the team: hiring B2B sales managers, training them and leading them
• Selling personally to the large fleets in the region and talking to their owners
• Working with carrier associations, industry events and freight exchanges
• A weekly report on the region: how many calls, how many sign-ups, what is in the way
• Dense coverage in Житомир, where the bulk of the regional register sits: meetings can be scheduled back to back
• Working with the small carriers that dominate here: 39 companies with one or two trucks, where the owner both calls and drives

Requirements

• At least three years in logistics or freight forwarding with international transport
• Experience leading people, or readiness to build a team for the first time
• Knowledge of CMR, RMPD and the standard document set for international transport
• Understanding the basics of Polish requirements: SENT, PUESC, penalties
• Confident computer user: CRM, documents and spreadsheets, messengers
• Fluent Ukrainian; part of the client base speaks Russian

Pay

A base of 2,000 € a month, paid in hryvnia at the NBU rate.

Plus commission on your own sales and commission on the sales of the managers in your region. There is no cap: the stronger the team, the higher your income.

Conditions

• Remote, from any town in the region, including Житомир, Бердичів, Коростень
• Five days a week, 8 hours, starting at eight or nine
• Work phone, connectivity and trips to industry events at our expense
• We train you on the product, on PUESC and on the sales and onboarding tools

The first month

• Week one: the product, PUESC and RMPD end to end, alongside someone who already does it
• Week two: your first list, the 125 companies in Житомир, the densest part of the regional register
• Week three: the 60 companies with ADR clearance, then the 23 in Коростень
• Week four: the first sign-ups, and the region's 41 large fleets as a conversation for the months after

A laptop, internet from 40 Mbps and a workplace ready for power outages.
